The Experiences of two IICD Volunteers in Angola, Africa

In November of 2001 we joined the Institute for International Cooperation and Development (IICD) to volunteer in Angola, Africa.  IICD volunteers work in developing nations around the world creating and contributing to sustainable programs in health, education, and agriculture.  IICD volunteers train at the campus in Williamstown, Massachusetts for six months in the histories, politics, cultures and languages of the countries in which we work.  Our team will be volunteering in southern Africa for a period of 6-12 months, after which we will return to IICD to create a conclusive project in the hopes of educating others.  Read our updated journal entries to learn more about our development projects in Angola.
